Maj (Inf) Rahmat Pribadi
Commander, Battalion 301/ Praba Kian Santang (PKS), based in Aileu, Manufahi and Ainaro districts
Rahmat Pribadi (serial no. 30414, 1985 military academy graduate) commanded an infantry battalion active in East Timor and has been mentioned in one report as being in need of investigation for human rights violations. Battalion 301, originally from Sumedang, West Java (Siliwangi Division), was seconded to the East Timor command and was thus called a territorial combat battalion (Batalyon Tempur Teritorial, BTT).
It would have been controlled by Sector B commander LtCol Tatang Zaenuddin. Immediately upon arrival on 12 April 1999, it began counter-insurgency operations against Falintil in the Aileu hills. On 17-18 September 1999, with all government personnel and most of the population gone to West Timor, it carried out the burning of buildings right around the districts of Manufahi and Ainaro.
