Commander of the Combined Intelligence Task Force (Satuan Gabungan Intelijen, SGI), Dili

He was listed as Kopassus Assistant for Logistics (in Jakarta?), before assuming command of SGI just prior to the ballot.[1] He would have replaced LtCol Yayat Sudrajat. The SGI interrogation centre was much feared by East Timorese activists for the torture it conducted, among other counter-insurgency activities.

Almost nothing is known about who staffed the SGI. Another SGI officer mentioned in one report is Capt Siburian, of whom, like Anwar, we know not even his full name. Siburian was said to 'help' Eurico Guterres.[2]
