Col Nanang D J Priadi

Deputy commander, East Timor military sub-area (Wadanrem 164), from June 1999

Nanang Priadi replaced Col Mudjiono as deputy commander of the East Timor military command on 11 June 1999, and served under both Col Tono Suratman and Col Nur Muis during the worst of the atrocities in East Timor.[1] He was later called by the joint Attorney General's team to testify in relation to alleged human rights abuses committed by his superior Nur Muis.[2]

Born in about 1954, he graduated in 1977 from the military academy. In 1997 he commanded the 9th Infantry Brigade (Danbrigif 9), Kostrad, based in Jember, East Java.
